Basic jewelry design workshop offered May 1 at PAC

The Plymouth Arts Center is presenting a jewelry class conducted by artist/teacher Dawn Koehler. This class is for anyone 14 years of age and older and will be held from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, May 1.

Participants will be able to select beautiful beads from Koehler’s collection and make their own original necklace and bracelet.

Class size is limited to eight students; please enroll early. To register contact the Plymouth Arts Center: (920) 892-8409; e-mail paf@excel.net or visit 520 E. Mill St., downtown Plymouth.

Instructor Koehler, a native of Wisconsin, has had a successful career as a published photo stylist, studio manager and graphic designer for the gift industry. Another extension of her creative abilities is her unique work in jewelry design. Some of Koehler’s designs can be seen on her Web site, www.dawnkoehlerdesign.com.

During this three-hour hands-on workshop, Koehler will teach you basic jewelry-making skills. You choose the style and type of jewelry you would like to make from a variety of beads and beading materials. Koehler will provide one-on-one guidance to help with any design-making decisions you need to create the jewelry you wish to make. Feel free to bring a blouse or article of clothing that needs accessorizing to help choose the proper color, style, and length of your jewelry pieces.
