BRIAN R. NORDBY
Brian R. Nordby, age 41, of W6303 Aurora Road, Plymouth, Wis., passed away early Saturday morning, May 1, 2010, at the Sharon S. Richardson Hospice in Sheboygan Falls due to complications of heart failure.
He was born Feb. 10, 1969 in La Crosse, Wis., a son of Betty Helke Nordby and the late Beryl Nordby. Brian graduated from Plymouth High School in 1988.
He worked at the Khoury Furniture Co. in Iron Mountain, Mich., also at the Austin Grey Foundry in Sheboygan. Brian was a former member of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth and the Sons of the American Legion.
Brian enjoyed fishing, bowling, ice skating, hunting and spending time with his many friends and loving family.
Survivors include his mother, Betty of Plymouth; three brothers: Brad (Elizabeth) Nordby of Kiel, Wis., and Roger and Rodney Nordby, both of Duluth, Minn.; his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Helke of La Crosse, Wis.; four nephews; aunt and uncles: LaVonne Watson of St. James, Minn.; Richard (Brenda) Nordby of Windom, Minn.; Gloria Laske of Illinois; Dennis (Sharon) Nordby of New Ulm, Minn.; Jim (Cherie) Nordby of Nisswa, Minn.; Willard “Bud” Piepanberg of Litchfield, Minn.; Jerry Helke of La Crosse; Diane (Duane) Gerke of West Salem, Wis.; Howard (Sharon) Helke of Sparta, Wis., and Richard (Jean) Helke of La Crosse; and his favorite canine friend, Hollee. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Beryl; his maternal grandfather, Herbert Helke; and his paternal grandparents, Otis and Jane Nordby.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Thomas Burton of St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth will officiate. Cremation will follow the services.
