Youth earn Boys & Girls honors for April

Three youths recently received honors from the Sheboygan Falls Boys & Girls Club for their outstanding leadership, positive attitude, and respectfulness, during the month of April.

The Sheboygan Falls Center recognized Carson DePagter, a fourth-grade student at Sheboygan Falls Elementary School, as the Youth of the Month for April.

Recently, DePagter has been stepping out of her comfort zone and venturing into every area of the club.

She participates all over the club, with a smile and positive attitude. DePagter is an energetic new member of Torch Club and is always willing to work at the snack bar.

She has a great sense of humor and can be counted on by the staff to be polite and respectful of staff and other members.

The club places a great emphasis in the idea of sportsmanship. This quality is recognized in one member each month through the Sportsperson of the Month Award.

For April, the Sheboygan Falls Center honored Jereon Preder as the Sportsperson of the Month.

A third-grade student at Sheboygan Falls Elementary School, Preder participates in any and every activity, no matter what program area it is in.

He is polite and respectful to members and staff, while encouraging other members during activities. His enthusiasm and excitement at the Club are contagious. The staff can always count on Preder for a positive attitude, a smile, please and thank yous and a high five.

The Club at Three-9-TEEN has chosen Stephen Parent for the Teen of the Month honors for April.

Parent is a ninth-grade student, who attends Sheboygan Falls High School.

He attends the club about three days a week and has an excellent attitude towards the club, members and staff.

Parent has helped set up the Three-9-TEEN Gamers Club and was voted the vice president. He is a top student who is an excellent artist that enjoys drawing and playing computer games in his spare time.

The Boys & Girls Club strives to teach strong character qualities to its members. The Youth and Sportsperson of the Month program allows the Club to honor and reward those members who truly display good character.
