City finance director to move to county post

Sheboygan County’s new finance director won’t have far to go to get to his new office.

County Administrator Adam Payne announced Friday that Terry Hanson will become the county’s finance director June 7. Hanson is currently the finance director for the city of Sheboygan, which means his new office in the county Administrative Building is only five blocks or so from Sheboygan’s City Hall.

Hanson holds a bachelor of science degree in accounting and has more than 10 years of government accounting experience.

“We had a strong pool of candidates apply for the position,” Payne said. “I am confident that Terry will be a very good addition to our team.”
