Dirt track racing event to honor all veterans May 29

Plymouth Dirt Track Racing will be honoring all veterans on Saturday, May 29.

Free admission to the grandstand will be given to all veterans and those on active duty who provide anything that verifies their military service.

The pre-race ceremony will include active duty veterans from the various branches of the military. An honor guard from the Plymouth VFW will post and retire the colors.

Special tribute will be made to remember the more than 650,000 American lives that have been lost and more than 1.4 million service members wounded in battle since the American Revolution.

Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. for admittance to the grandstand, the opening ceremony will commence at 6 p.m., racing to immediately follow.
