Sheriff’s Report – May 26

Wayne A. Bauer Jr., 39, of 333 Fond du Lac, Waupun and Jacob K. Ditter, 19, 604 Kings Court, Cascade, were involved in a two-car accident on State 23 and Pleasantview Road, May 24.

Bauer was westbound on State 23 and Ditter was stopped at a stop sign on Pleasantview Road. Ditter crossed State 23 to go north on Pleasantview Road and collided with Bauer in the left westbound lane of State 23. Ditter’s car spun and went into the ditch on the east side of Pleasantview Road.

Ditter was transported to St. Nicholas Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was ticketed for failure to yield from a stop sign.

Raymond A. Jung, 46, of W6031 Camron Drive, Appleton and Daniel J. Newmann, 36, of 1412 N. 16th St., Sheboygan, were involved in an accident at the intersection of State 23 and the I-43 ramp.

Both vehicles were exiting I-43 to eastbound 23. Newmann stopped for a temporary yield sign before merging onto State 23. Jung continued eastbound and upon attempting to merge, struck Newmann’s car in the rear.

The Kohler Police Department, town of Sheboygan First Responders, Orange Cross and the Wisconsin State Patrol responded to the scene of the accident. Newmann and passengers in the Newmann vehicle, Anthony Chavez, 52, and Scott Kolitz, 40, both of Sheboygan, were transported to St. Nicholas Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Jung was cited for inattentive driving.
