PAC `Mill Street Live’ debuts June 18

The Plymouth Arts Center has announced that Mill Street Guild will again be performing this summer’s production of “Mill Street Live.” This musical series consists of eight shows performed at the Arts Center on Fridays, June 18 and 25, July 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30, and Aug. 6.

Mill Street Guild is comprised of 12 college-age area performers and is Plymouth’s equivalent of the “Kids from Wisconsin!” The group is elated to be performing in downtown Plymouth at the Arts Center. “Mill Street Live” is a high-energy song and dance series featuring popular music from the past four decades including country and Broadway.

The artistic director/choreographer is Katie Schmidt of Sheboygan; musical director is Nikki Andrews of Oostburg; and technical director is Nic Horstmeier, Random Lake.

A sneak preview of this year's production will be featured at the Festival of Arts on Saturday, June 12.

Mill Street’s Guild Mission is … Combining our talents, desires, and efforts, the Mill Street Guild intends on reaching out to our community of Sheboygan County and its surrounding areas to provide highenergy entertainment in both singing and dancing. Utilizing locally talented individuals who share in our passion for the art of entertaining, as well as uniting with fellow performers to bring out the best in one another, the Mill Street Guild’s main goals are to perform, engage, and excite audiences of all ages and backgrounds.

The Plymouth Arts Center is celebrating its 17th membership year this year and continues to fulfill its mission which is … to enliven the spirit of the community and to enrich the lives of all by providing diverse experiences in the arts.

The PAC is a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit arts organization with a current membership over 400 including 250 volunteers serving as committee and board members, visual artists, docents, teachers, directors, singers, actors, musicians and general helpers.

The Arts Center is well-known in the area for its lively schedule of visual and performing arts events throughout the year. The PAC operates a fine art gallery, Gallery 110 North, featuring Wis. artists in changing exhibits, while presenting a wide variety of art classes for all ages.
