Riverdogs’ rally falls shy

MEQUON – The Howards Grove Riverdogs dropped to 1-1 in the Land O’ Lakes Baseball League Northern Division with a 3-2 loss to host Thiensville-Mequon May 23.

The Riverdogs loaded the bases in the top of the ninth inning after Chris Daun’s RBI double but were unable to score any more.

Daun and Justin Poirier led Howards in hits with two each. P.J. Weber was the losing pitcher – allowing three runs on nine hits in seven frames.
