Walsh K’s 14, Flames win
PLYMOUTH – Evan Walsh fanned a season-high 14 batters to lead the Plymouth Flames past the Saukville Saints, 6-5, in a Land O’ Lakes Baseball League game Friday night at Loebe Field.
The Flames upped their Northern Division record to 3-1. Saukville dropped to 3-1 in the LOL.
Walsh earned a complete-game win – allowing zero earned runs on eight hits with two walks.
The Flames tallied four runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to erase a 3-1 deficit and take the lead for good, 5-3. Ryan Wachter’s two-run double ignited the rally.
Wachter, Paul Gloede and Walsh led Plymouth in hits with two each. Wachter and Walsh had a teamhigh two RBIs apiece.
Joel Zalewski’s three hits paced the Saints.
