PAC arts festival enlivens city June 12

Plymouth Festival of Fine Arts is a juried outdoor arts fair presented on the grounds (front, back and side) of the Plymouth Arts Center, Saturday, June 12, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The PAC is located at the corner of Eastern Avenue, Mill and North streets, downtown.

This exciting event kicks off summer in downtown Plymouth and promises something for everyone … 38 Wisconsin Artists’ booths, artists’ demonstrations, silent auction, live bluegrass, Irish and jazz music, food, wine-beer garden, fun art projects for kids/ family by Abrakadoodle and more.

The PAC will present this second annual event with its increased interest by Wisconsin artists and community and area support. Visitors will be able to relax in the entertainment tent (bring a lawn chair) and enjoy the ever-popular Beef Tea band. Additionally, the PAC will introduce the area’s hottest new jazz ensemble, Subito and a brief preview of PAC’s summer musical series, Mill Street Live, by the Mill Street Guild.

A variety of food, wine, and beer, will be offered throughout the day. Plymouth Festival of Fine Arts is sponsored by Sargento Foods. Admission is free.

Visitors may purchase original fine artwork created by the artists who are present at the festival. Participating artists working in watercolor, oil, acrylic, jewelry, glass, metal, mixed media, wood, fiber, photography, pottery and more, will be ready to greet visitors at 10 a.m.

Artworks have been donated by the participating artists for the PAC silent auction. Bidding will take place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The winning bids will be announced at 3 p.m.; winners need not be present to win.P

By bringing together Wisconsin fine artists and art and music-lovers, the PAC continues to create tourism in the area and visitors experience firsthand just how artistically vibrant Plymouth has become.
