`Midway’ to be shown at Aviation Heritage Center this Friday

Movie Night at Aviation Heritage Center, Sheboygan Falls, will present “Midway” at 7 p.m. Friday, June 11. The 1976 film starring Charlton Heston, Henry Fonda, James Coburn, Glenn Ford, Hal Holbrook, Robert Mitchum and Cliff Robertson is not rated.

The film chronicles the Battle of Midway, a turning point in World War II in the Pacific. The film follows two threads, one centered around the Japanese chief strategist Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto, and the other around fictional characters including Capt. Matt Garth (Heston), an American naval officer who is involved in various phases of the U.S. planning and execution of the battle.

The movie is free. You can bring your own lawn chairs. Refreshments are available for a modest cost.
