JOYANNE HAUSNER RAEDER
Joyanne Hausner Raeder, age 73, of Sheboygan passed away peacefully Saturday evening, June 5, 2010 at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, where she had been a patient the past three days.
She was born April 3, 1937 in Plymouth, a daughter of the late Otto and Aurelia (Pitt) Hausner. She attended the Joliet School in the town of Rhine.
On May 17, 1952, she married the love of her life, Fred H. Raeder Jr. The couple made their home in Sheboygan where they raised their three children.
She had been employed at Spiller Spring in Sheboygan for many years.
She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Sheboygan, and was affiliated with the Stone Croft Missionary Christian Women’s Group.
Joy and her husband enjoyed traveling across the United States and Alaska and spending time at their cottage at North Twin Lake near Conover, Wis. Her husband preceded her in death Jan. 20, 2001.
Joy loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, working in her garden, was an excellent cook and liked to knit.
Survivors include her three children, Jerome (Bonnie) Raeder of the town of Sheboygan, June (John) Raeder-MacKinnon of Plymouth and Ricky (Beth) Raeder of the town of Sheboygan; five grandchildren, Chelsey Raeder, Michael (Nicole) MacKinnon, Tracy MacKinnon, Heather Raeder (her fiancé, Jim Bates) and Tyler Raeder and his special friend, Mary Jablonski; three greatgrandchildren, Ayleen and Camden MacKinnon and Thea Bates; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Kaderabek and Janet Limberg, both of Sheboygan; three nephews, Mike, Marty and Elroy Hausner; one niece, Cindy Kundinger; and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins; and her very dear friends, Melanie and Pete Arthurs and Bea Mihm.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Allen and Marvin Hausner; three brothers-in-law, Lorenz and Clarence Raeder and Edwin Kaderabek; and two sisters-in-law, Liz Raeder and Charlotte Hausner.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, at the Wittkopp-Schneider Funeral Home in Plymouth. The Rev. Gregory Whelton, pastor of St. John UCC, will officiate.
Following the service, cremation will take place, with inurnment in the Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Wittkopp-Schneider Funeral Home from 5 p.m. Thursday until the time of service.
