Dorf Kapelle in Elkhart Lake tonight

The Dorf Kapelle German band will hold their 21st annual concert in the Elkhart Lake Fireman’s Park tonight at 7 p.m.

Concessions – including bratwurst, hamburgers and beverages – will be sold beginning at 5 p.m. by the Band Crew of Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School. Proceeds will benefit the local high school band and provide college scholarships for deserving high school students through the Elkhart Lake Study Club.

The Dorf Kapelle features the traditional ethnic style of the typical European village band. Formed in 1988, the group is dedicated to the reproduction of European wind music including polkas, marches, waltzes and specialty selections performed in the ethnic style of its origin.

Admission is free. The audience is advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets for seating. The Elkhart Lake Study Club arranged the concert and additional sponsors are Cedar Landing and the Elkhart Lake Fire Department.
