Groundwater information meeting in HG

The UW-Extension Sheboygan County office, Land and Water Conservation Department, and the village of Howards Grove are sponsoring a public information meeting on groundwater quality to be held Thursday, June 24, at 6 p.m. at the Howards Grove Village Hall, 913 S. Wisconsin Dr., in Howards Grove.

According to Dave Such, UW-Extension Sheboygan County community resource development agent, the meeting is designed to present information on groundwater quality throughout Sheboygan County with a focus on the village of Howards Grove. Information to be presented is based on a survey of wells that has been conducted during a recent in-depth drinking water testing program in the village of Howards Grove area.

Persons who participated in the village of Howards Grove water-testing program will be able to obtain the results of their well tests at the meeting. An explanation of test results will also be provided. A UWExtension groundwater quality specialist will be present to answer questions.

Because the results of these tests provide information on the quality of groundwater throughout Sheboygan County, all interested persons are encouraged to attend.
