Rash of car thefts in city
The Plymouth Police Department received numerous complaints Thursday of thefts from motor vehicles in the South Hills subdivision off of State 67.
Since May 1, the Plymouth Police Department has handled approximately 30 similar vehicle entries in the southwest area of the city. The thefts are occurring during the overnight hours when people are sleeping.
The majority of the thefts are very similar in nature as the suspects are targeting unlocked vehicles. The items being taken are money, cigarettes, tools, and small electronic items such as IPods or GPS units.
Officers of the Plymouth Police Department are investigating the thefts and ask anyone with information about the crimes to contact the department at 920-893-6541 — or you may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward by contacting Crime Stoppers at 1-877-CUF-THEM.
As a reminder police are asking citizens to report suspicious activity they may witness and to keep their cars locked and remove valuables from the their vehicles make it less likely that they will become a victim.
