BEVERLY J. FORD

Beverly J. Ford (nee White), 57, formerly of Glenbeulah, passed away early Sunday morning, June 20, 2010, at Kindred Hearts in Plymouth after an eight-year courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.

Bev was born Jan. 19, 1953, in Oshkosh to the late Mae Nelson Rackow (Louis Rackow) and Grant White.

Bev graduated from Plymouth High School in 1971. She worked as a nurse’s aide at Plymouth Valley View nursing home and later worked for Kees Manufacturing in Elkhart Lake.

Bev married Larry L. Ford on June 7, 1975. They had three daughters: Stacy Ford (Rich DeSmidt) of Greenbush, Shannon (Tim) Heinrich of Glenbeulah and Shauna (Jose) Guerrero of Sheboygan.

Bev enjoyed playing bingo, bowling and volunteering at the Plymouth Senior Center, where she met so many wonderful friends. One of her loves in life was Bon Jovi. But her biggest passion in life was her grandchildren, Laura, Justin and Yovani “Jo-Jo” and step grandchildren, Romeo and Eternity.

Beverly is survived by four siblings: Tom (Mary) White of Park Falls, Larry (Dee) White of Virginia, Linda (Gary) Wettstein of Plymouth and Susie (Jeff) Blank of Reedsville.

She is preceded in death by one sister, Carolyn Zamzow of Oshkosh also from this terrible disease.

“Bootsie” left behind many nieces, nephews, brothers- and sisters-in-law, but especially her best buddy and sister, Linda.

Cremation has taken place and a gathering to celebrate her life will be held from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, June 26, at the Glenbeulah Park. Food and refreshments will be available. All friends and family are welcomed.

A memorial fund has been established in Bev’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association. The Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Plymouth is serving her family. For online condolences, please visit www.suchonfh.com.
God Took Her To His Loving Home
God saw her getting tired, a cure was not to be.
He wrapped her in his loving arms and whispered “Come with me.”
She suffered much in silence, her spirit did not bend.
She faced her pain with courage, until the very end.
She tried so hard to stay with us but her fight was not in vain,
God took her to His loving home and freed her from the pain.

The Ford family would like to extend a special thank you to all of our “extended families” at Kindred Hearts, Advantage Hospice and Community Family Care. All of your help during this journey has touched us deeply. You’ve helped to make each day a little easier. Your generosity and big hearts would have made Bev proud. Thank you for all the love and understanding you have shown us throughout the years.
