HAROLD E. BRUNS

Harold E. Bruns, age 105, a life-long resident of the area passed away peacefully early Thursday morning, June 24, 2010, at Cedar Bay Assisted Living where he had resided for the last eight months.

Harold was born on May 22, 1905 in Plymouth, a son of the late Dr. E. A. Bruns and Lilly (LaBudde) Bruns.

He attended Plymouth grade schools and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1922. He also graduated from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1927 with a B.A. degree in economics.

In January of 1932, he married Edna Beaster. The couple was blessed with five children. On May 15, 1981 his wife preceded him in death.

Harold is survived by three children, Virginia E. (Jerry) Traeder of Prescott, Ariz., Sandra E. Bruns of Elkhart Lake, and Steven E. Bruns of Brookfield, Wis.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Also survived by other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Marcia E. Bruns and Sharon E. Stempihar; one brother, Claiborne “Doc” Bruns; and one sister, Bernice Clark.

Following Harold’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Private memorial service will be held at a later date.
