4-H-Willing Workers – April and June
The Willing Workers 4-H Club was called to order at 6:35 p.m. April 12. We had pizza, juice, cookies, and Rice Krispies for our snack. For roll call, we answered the question, “What is your favorite springtime activity?”
Cora Laudolff told us that the Easter Egg Hunt did okay, with plenty of help, but only two kids showed up.
We voted to do a Luigi’s pizza fundraiser and we would pick up the pizzas May 15, from 8-10 a.m.
We are undecided as to what the club field trip will be, but we will have more options next meeting and probably vote on what we will do or where we will go.
A couple of the club members did some highway cleanup about three weeks ago and got both sides of State 67 from ZZ-E. Way to go!
Laura Leclerc gave the quarters from last month to her siblings to take with them when they went to Haiti to help the people in poverty.
The Cloverbuds showed us the sun catchers they made. There was a crab, butterfly, fish, and a couple of flip-flops. They were really neat!
We had demonstrations done by Kerstein on llamas, Katherine on her trip to Haiti, Sodonna on her seed plants, Rachael on plant care, Sophia on ballet dance moves and her ballet outfit, and Johanna who showed us some origami.
Our meeting was adjourned at 7:10 p.m.

The Willing Workers 4-H meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. June 14.
We discussed where we want to go for our club trip and our options are Blue Harbor, in-line skating or roller-skating, and a minor league baseball game.
Our softball game was canceled due to all the rain the Lord has blessed us with. Our next game is at home versus the Scott Pioneers at 7 o'clock next week.
For our club booth, Kaitlyn told us we are doing a regular booth with a map theme and we all had our picture taken for the design of our booth.
Madison gave her quarters to a 4-H member who just had a heart transplant and the club voted to give $20.W
e received our club T-shirts and thought they all looked really neat. Thank you, Mrs. Laudolff!
A few members were asked to walk in the Greenbush parade June 27 at 11:30 a.m.
We have decided to have another fundraiser to sell chocolate bars, but said we would wait toward fall so the bars won't melt.
Our meeting ended at 7:20 p.m.
We had one demonstration done by Ryan on his trumpet.
We all say “Happy Birthday” to Sydonya, Aaron, Logan, Ryan and Rachael, who have or had their birthdays in June!
