Sheriff’s Report – June 30
On June 25 about 6 p.m., Michael Kawczynski of 306 Spring Road, Random Lake, reported the theft of guns and various related equipment from his locked Ford Explorer. Missing were four rifles used for competition shooting, scopes, bi-pods, slings, cases and ammunition. The rifles had a total value of $4,300 and the related equipment was valued at several thousand dollars.
Responding to a tip from a confidential informant, the SWAT team instituted a no-knock search warrant at a home located at 1613 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, and recovered all the missing items. The suspects in the home did not resist the officers. The names of the two suspects were not released at the time of the briefing, but they were to make an initial appearance before the judge Monday, June 28.

On June 28 at about 12:03 p.m., Michael J. Buchanan, 45, of Madison, reported the theft of slag from a quarry located at W6558 County N in the town of Linden. The slag was valued at between $400 and $500. The investigation is ongoing.

Francisco Martinez, 34, an employee for Safari Telecommunication of Ramsey, N.J., reported the theft of 2,200 feet of copper wire from Whistling Straits, N8501 County LS in the town of Mosel. The theft occurred sometime between 1 p.m. Saturday, June 26 and 3 p.m. Monday, June 28.
