Spring golf outing scores success for Chamber-Main Street
The eighth annual Sheboygan Falls Chamber-Main Street Spring Golf Outing was played on a near perfect summer day Wednesday, June 9, at The Bull at Pinehurst Farms in Sheboygan Falls.
Fifty dedicated golfers took to the Jack Nicklaus-designed links and enjoyed playing this challenging venue named 2008’s Number 3-ranked public course by Golf Wisconsin.
Raffles and sponsorships helped to raise nearly $2,600 for Streetscapes projects in the historic downtown, such as flower and bridge planters and holiday banners.
Since 1993, an annual golf event has been put on by the Chamber-Main Street Design Committee to raise funds for foundation projects which have included: trees, shrubs and perennials for Falls View Park in 1994; benches and trash receptacles for downtown in 1996; and the city clock in 1997. The outings from 1998 through 2001 fully funded the directional signage project, and assisted with the development of Settlers Park and the Monroe Street parking lot. Last year’s event added more planters to the Monroe Street bridge and purchased additional lighted garland for the lamp posts.
Once again, a great number of businesses and individuals supported the event with sponsorships of foursomes, holes and greens as well as donated prizes which were awarded to the participating golfers.

Verstrate would also like to thank golf pro Jeremy Udovich and the entire staff of The Bull for once again putting on such a top-notch event for Chamber-Main Street. “We were truly amazed by how accommodating and supportive the entire staff of The Bull was in ensuring this very important fundraiser was a success for our Foundation”. “They consistently go the extra mile for Chamber-Main Street.”
