FSA hosts election open house July 13

The Sheboygan County FSA service center will be hosting an annual open house from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, July 13. FSA county office staff will be sharing information on FSA’s County Committee Election process and the importance of participating. The center is located at 650 Forest Ave. in Sheboygan Falls, WI 53085.

“The county committees help deliver FSA farm programs at the local level. Farmers who serve on county committees are serving other farmers by working to make FSA agricultural programs meet the needs of local producers,” stated Sis Dueholm, Sheboygan county executive director.

The election will be held in the townships of Rhine, Russell, Greenbush, Mitchell and Scott.

The open house is an opportunity for local producers and landowners to visit the FSA county office to find out more about the election process and how they can make a difference.

The nomination period for this year’s election is from June 15 to Aug. 2. There is plenty of time for local farmers and landowners to get involved.
