LOL all-star game at HG Sunday

The Howards Grove Riverdogs and Howards Athletic Club will host the annual Land O’ Lakes Baseball League all-star game Sunday at Memorial Park in Howards.

The game will start at 1:30 p.m. and match the Northern Division all-stars against their counterparts from the Western Division.

The Riverdogs and the Plymouth Flames have a combined seven players on the North squad. Howards’ all-stars include pitcher Zach Weber, second baseman Matt Schroeder and outfielders P.J. Weber and Chris Daun. Weber was voted by the division managers as a starter.

The Flames’ all-stars are pitcher Evan Walsh, first baseman Chris Bennin and outfielder Justin Gephart.

Former Milwaukee Brewer Don August will be the Western Division’s starting pitcher. Riverdog logo baseballs will be given away to the first 75 youths, ages 12 and under, attending the game. Raffles, music, and food will be available throughout the game.
