JOANN ROSE SCHULTZ
JoAnn Rose Schultz, age 71, of 428 Beth Circle, Plymouth, Wis., passed away unexpectedly at her home in Plymouth the afternoon of July 5, 2010.
JoAnn was born Feb. 1, 1939, in Sheboygan, Wis., the daughter of the late Elmor and Myrna Meyer Drossel.
She attended Sheboygan Falls High School, graduating in 1957. JoAnn attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, graduating with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education in 1962. She received her teachers certificate in February of 1964.
JoAnn was married to James Schultz (deceased in 1995) Aug. 11, 1962. The couple lived in the Plymouth area. Both enjoyed antiquing, keeping their flower and vegetable gardens, and traveling.
JoAnn loved to travel, visiting family and friends; she often spent time in California, Texas, northern and southern Wisconsin, to be with her loved ones and especially she adored all her grandchildren.
JoAnn was an active member of St. John the Baptist Church in Plymouth, teaching the elementary grades at the St. John the Baptist Church school from 1986-1998. Prior to that she taught school at St. Mary’s School in Sheboygan Falls from 1975-1986.
JoAnn is survived by four children, Michael (Rebecca) Schultz of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Patrick (Brenda) Schultz of Milton, Wis., Timothy (Deanne) Schultz of Cleveland, Wis., and Kathleen (Timothy) Jesse of Durand, Wis.; 10 grandchildren, Angel (Timothy) DeBlay of Texas, Tiffany Schultz of Merrill, Wis., Jonathan Schultz of Merrill, Jacob Tio of Chippewa Falls, Ally Tio of Chippewa Falls, Steven Schultz of Cleveland, Emily Schultz of Cleveland, Briana Jesse of Durand, Breck Jesse of Durand, and Grace Schultz of Milton; four brothers, Eugene (Arnita) Drossel of Sheboygan Falls, Calvin (Chris) Drossel of Sheboygan, John (Wendy) Drossel of Oostburg, and James Drossel of Sheboygan.
A funeral Mass was held Monday afternoon, July 12, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The very Rev. Dennis Van Beek, pastor of the church officiated and was assisted by the Rev. Patrick Schultz, pastor of Milton United Methodist Church. Cremation followed the services.
