ARLENE M. MCGLADE

Arlene M. McGlade, 84, of Sheboygan passed away Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home.

She was born Sept. 26, 1925, in Rice Lake to the late Julius and Emma Olson. She graduated from Cameron High School in 1943. She then moved to Chicago, Ill., to work for V-Mail during World War II.

On Jan. 14, 1948, she married Lyle McGlade. The couple moved to Sheboygan Falls in 1949. He preceded her in death July 18, 2009.

Arlene was employed by Heidenreiter Bus Co. for many years, and was a cook in several area restaurants.

She always valued conversation with family and friends around the kitchen table. She enjoyed camping throughout Wisconsin with Lyle, making many friends along the way. Together, they spent winters in Leesburg, Fla.

She is survived by her son, Lee (Sue Meinel) McGlade and daughter, Nancy (Rick) Severson, and her foster daughters, Carol (Lonny) Bigler and Linda (Don) Kimpel. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law, Allen and Russell McGlade, and sister-inlaw, Enid McGlade.

She was also preceded in death by her son, Bradley; her foster daughter, Susan Ehlert; three sisters and a brother. A private family service will be held according to Arlene’s wishes.
