Sheriff’s Report – July 26

On July 20 about 5:15 p.m., Thomas Genny reported a theft of multiple items from his garage at W2061 Hannah Lane in the town of Sheboygan. The theft took place sometime between July 8 and July 20. Missing from the garage were a red toolbox, hitches, tackle and fishing equipment valued at about $500.

The Sheriff’s Department responded to a 911 call from someone at N9323 MC in the town of Rhine. When officers arrived, they found a 79-year-old man with a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head.

The man was transported by Flight for Life to an area hospital. At the time of the briefing, the man was still alive.
