BETTY MAE DEMARCE
Betty Mae DeMarce, age 85, of W6429 State 28, Cascade, passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, July 27, 2010, with her husband and her family at her side.
She was born May 19, 1925 in Plymouth, a daughter of the late Ralph and Edna (Radder) Arbuckle. She attended St. John Lutheran School and Parnell Grade School.
On Sept. 18, 1943, she married the love of her life, Alfred DeMarce, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade. The couple have made their home in the Cascade area all their married life.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade, and a member of the Ladies Guild in the church.
Betty enjoyed doing fancy needlework and beautiful Afghans. Her life was focused on her family and was a “Grandma baby sitter,” in the Cascade area for many. Betty also enjoyed working in her gardens and tending to her flowers. Betty also helped making Christmas wreaths at Roy’s Tree Lot in Kohler.
Survivors include her husband of 66, Al; two daughters, Donna (Roy) Fenske of Kohler and Nancy (Tillie) Schultz of Sheboygan Falls; eight grandchildren: Tim (Sheryl) Fenske, Chad Fenske, Shannon (Julie) Fenske, Todd Fenske, Tammy Schultz, Rhonda (Corey) Will, Ross (Rita) Schultz and Rodney Schultz; 18 great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Cole and Rachel Fenske: Jessica, Jennifer and Andrew Fenske; Robin (Dusty) Miller; Morgan, Paige and Olivia Fenske; Zachary and MacKenzie Will; Ross Jr., Brandon, Cody, Matthew and Brook Schultz and Brent Schultz; three great-great-grandchildren: Morgan and Shelby Miller and Corbin Wasmer; two brothers, Willard Arbuckle of Wisconsin Rapids and Ward (Janice) Arbuckle of Sherman Center; two sisters, Ione (Richard) Otto of Sheboygan Falls and Eileen (Robert) Metz of Plymouth; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sammye DeMarce and Mable Reilly, both of Plymouth, and Kathy Arbuckle of Glenbeulah, Paul (Kay) Nanz of Plymouth and George (Joyce) Nanz of Parnell; her foster mother, Norma Nachreiner of Random Lake; her foster brothers and sisters, Iris Seefeldt of New Fane, Myra (Don) Deppiesse of Random Lake and Bruce (Bev) Falk of Campbellsport; and her special friend, Lynn (KT) Thull of St. Michael.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Alfred Jr.; one sister, Marion Kuehl and one brother, Gilbert Arbuckle.
Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 29, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade. The Rev. Richard Bidinger, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will take place in the parish cemetery.
Friends may call at the church Thursday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.
A memorial fund will be established in Betty’s name for St. Lukes Heart Clinic in Milwaukee and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Ladies Guild.
