Frying with a mission

The LEAP (Loving, Energetic, Authentic and Prayerful) Youth Group from Elkhart Lake hosted a brat fry during the Vintage Race Weekend earlier this month to raise funds for an upcoming mission trip to Michigan in August.

During the trip, the youth will serve underprivileged families in the Grand Rapids area, performing duties at the monthly furniture giveaway and working in the local food pantry.

LEAP also assists with other mission work, including food pantries, ringing bells for the Salvation Army and church cleanup. The group is also looking forward to their Third Annual “Twinkie Olympics” this fall, including games like “Wheel of Twinkies, Twinkie Dodgeball, and Twinkie Relays.”
