Free Aug. 19 concert at JMKAC features three indie folk bands

Summer may be winding down, but there are still plenty of activities to enjoy on a balmy evening, including the Aug. 19 free outdoor concert on M.I.K.E. on the Festival Green of the John Michael Kohler Arts Center, Sheboygan.

The evening features three indie folk music bands – Cedarwell from Sheboygan at 6 p.m., Northern Howl from Minneapolis at 7 p.m. and The Bears of Blue River from Chicago at 8 p.m.

“These bands will have you humming and tapping your toes even after the concert ends,” said Ann Brusky, performing arts coordinator at the Arts Center. “Paradigm Coffee and Music, our partner in this concert, and the Arts Center could not be more pleased with the lineup.”

Beverages and food will be available; no carry-in beverages are allowed. Please bring blankets and lawn chairs as seating is not provided. For additional information, call the Arts Center at 920-458-6144.
