TIMOTHY J. DERUS

Timothy J. Derus, 46, of Elkhart Lake, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2010, at his residence.

Tim was born Jan. 3, 1964, in Sheboygan to James and Donata (Littmann) Derus. Early on, Tim participated in gymnastics and volleyball with the Sheboygan Turners. He graduated from Sheboygan South High School in 1982.

He then began working for the family business, Derus Patterns and Castings in Sheboygan Falls, which was started by his father in 1972. Tim stepped down from his position as vice president in April of 2008.

Tim was an avid bowler, participating in area leagues. He had many 300s and an 800 series. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved to play cribbage and pool with his many friends.

In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by his sister, Diane Derus of Elburn, Ill., and his brother, Lee (Susan) Derus of Sheboygan Falls; his nephews, David and Steven Derus; and his many friends and hunting partners.

A memorial visitation will take place Saturday, Aug. 7, from noon until 4 p.m. at Zimmer’s Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, State 42 and County JJ, Howards Grove.
