Auditions being scheduled for Lakeshore Youth Chorale

The Lakeshore Youth Chorale will be holding fall auditions for its 2010-11 season for students ages 7 through 18.

Auditions will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at First United Lutheran Church, Sheboygan.

If your child is interested, please contact the Lakeshore Youth Chorale conductor, Heather Hammond, at 920-467-8350 to schedule an audition. Youth from all over the area are encouraged to audition. The simple, relaxed audition will take 5-10 minutes. No music needs to be prepared.

The Lakeshore Youth Chorale, established in 1994, consists of three choirs: Lyric Choir primarily for elementary school ages, and Jubilate Choir primarily for middle school ages, and Chamber Choir for high school singers. Rehearsals are held weekly from September through mid-April at First United Lutheran Church. Concerts are scheduled in October and December of 2010 and April of 2011.
