Lakeshore Youth Chorale slates auditions

The Lakeshore Youth Chorale will be holding fall 2010-11 auditions for students ages 7 through 18 Tuesday, Sept. 7, at First United Lutheran Church in Sheboygan.

Those interested in auditioning are asked to contact Lakeshore Youth Chorale Conductor Heather Hammond at 467-8350 to schedule an audition.

Youth from all over the area are encouraged to audition. The simple, relaxed audition will take five to 10 minutes. No music needs to be prepared.

The Lakeshore Youth Chorale, established in 1994, consists of three choirs. Lyric choir is primarily for elementary school students, and jubilate choir is primarily for middle school students. Chamber choir is geared toward high school singers.

Rehearsals will be held weekly from September through mid-April at First United Lutheran Church. Concerts are scheduled in October and December of 2010 and April of 2011.
