Cartoon offends
To the Editor:
We are shocked and appalled at the lack of professional journalism shown in the printing of the cartoon in the Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, issue.
This is an outrageous smear of the Catholic Church and the "rosary." You print unnamed articles on being tolerant and fair to Muslims, but the liberal press continues to treat the Catholic Church as "third class" citizens. Where is the fairness to all religions?
I am sure you will never print a cartoon that is negative to the Muslim or Jewish Faiths. The publishers and editors should print an apology to all the Catholics for its lack of respect. We suggest keeping your future cartoons to political topics.
