Auxiliary supports Pine Haven

Pine Haven Christian Communities Women’s Auxiliary recently donated $7,000 for an upgrade tot eh beauty salon on the nursing home and residential center campuses. The beauty salon has five stylists offering full barber and salon services to Pine Haven residents.

Donated funds provided new cabinets, mirrors, chairs, flooring, lighting and décor updates. It is the second time in Pine Haven’s 60-year history that the Women’s Auxiliary has assisted with updates to the salon. The Pine Haven Women’s Auxiliary, which began in 1957, has over 40 members strong, who assist Pine Haven staff with resident bingo, birthday parties and transporting residents to and from appointments within the Pine Haven facility. Auxiliary members also assist with the operation of The Corner Store.

The women’s auxiliary holds several fundraising events throughout the year to assist Pine Have, which is a non-profit assisted-living and skilled-nursing facility in Sheboygan Falls and Oostburg. The next fundraiser event is Autumnfest, which will be held Saturday, Sept. 11, from 1:30 pm. to 6 pm. The event will feature a craft sale and brat fry at the nursing home and residential center, located at 531 Giddings Ave. in Sheboygan Falls.
