UW-FDL holds auditions for `Almost, Maine’ Sept. 13

Auditions for UW-Fond du Lac Theater Department’s fall production of “Almost, Maine” by John Cariani will be held 2:30-6 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, in the Prairie Theater, 400 University Drive.

“Almost, Maine” is a Fond du Lac premiere. UW-Fond du Lac professor Richard Gustin is directing and producing the play and describes the show as a romantic comedy about the ideal of true romance and the disillusionment often experienced when searching for love in relationships.

“This is a young person’s play with plenty to reflect upon and laugh about,” Gustin said. “It’s very funny and thought provoking.”

Those auditioning will read from selected scenes and will be in-and-out within 30 minutes. No experience is necessary. Scripts are on reading reserve in the UW-Fond du Lac Library.
