Balancing budgets
To the Editor:
I am supporting Scott Walker for governor of Wisconsin because he has the experience of managing Milwaukee County successfully for eight years.
When Walker became the Milwaukee County executive, the county budget was in a pathetic state, but Scott Walker has turned that around. The past eight years, he has authored balanced budgets that included no increases in the property tax levy for Milwaukee County residents.
Our state budget is in a mess and facing a deficit of billions of dollars. Walker can turn the state financial chaos around, also. There is a lot of waste in our current state budget and he has the know-how and experience to get rid of the wasteful expenditures. He will work hard so that the citizens of Wisconsin will have a balanced state budget.
