Kleefisch
To the Editor:
What does the lieutenant governor of Wisconsin do? Rebecca Kleefisch, our next lieutenant governor, has a vision to shape this relatively ambiguous, non-legislative position into the vice president of marketing in our great state. As a leading candidate for the position, Kleefisch believes the lieutenant governor’s job is to reach the entrepreneurs of Wisconsin, the USA, and the world with her message that, “Wisconsin is open for business again!”
Right now, what global business people know about our state is that we are number 48 on Forbes list of places to do business. We are number 42 in the United States business tax index. We are number 9 out of 10 on Pew Research's list of worst fiscal messes in this nation.
I’m a small business owner with a great deal at stake. As a small business owner herself, having served as a private consultant to industry, along with being a former Milwaukee TV anchor, Rebecca has the experience that uniquely situates her to change the role for lieutenant governor from a passive ribbon cutter in pictures to an aggressive advocate of business. As she’s stated, “We've got to correct our business climate and once that happens, we need a good vice president of marketing to go out there and sell the heck out of the state to bring jobs back here.”
Her goal is to help turn our state’s business climate around so job creators will remain here and locate here so we can get our economy moving again. Kleefisch knows of the need to put our people back to work in good paying jobs. She has proclaimed her unshakable faith in the greatness of the people of Wisconsin and the promise of a bright future once we put our state back on the path to prosperity and opportunity.
I am supporting Rebecca Kleefisch for lieutenant governor.
