The Sheboygan Falls Falcons boys soccer opened the Eastern Wisconsin Conference season with backto back shutout victories last week.
Falls freshman winger Jimmy Jens scored two goals and senior Karl Huberty added another, as the Falcons blanked the Kiel Raiders 3-0 Thursday, Aug. 26.
Sophomore Ryan Halverson fought off a tough Raiders team with eight saves for his second straight shutout in goal.
The Falcons clobbered the Kewaskum Indians 9-0 on Tuesday, Aug. 24, with a hat-trick from sophomore Nick Hietela.
Huberty and Jens also got into the scoring act with two goals each. Sophomore Will Meyer and senior Luis Hernandez added one goal apiece.
“This was a great team effort,” said Falcons coach Kris Rusch. “It’s a great way to start the season.”
