The Sheboygan Falls Falcons volleyball team swept its own Eastern Wisconsin Conference quadrangular by shutting out Kiel 3-0, New Holstein 3-1 and Kewaskum 3-1 Thursday, Aug. 26, in Sheboygan Falls.
Falls opens the season with a 3-0 mark in the Eastern Wisconsin Conference (3-0 overall).
Falcons senior Cassie Quirt led the Falcons in a 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-9) defeat of Kiel. Quirt scored five aces serving and made 11 assists. Senior Emily Thomack had seven digs. Senior Brooke Buehler led with seven kills, while junior Sara Ison had two blocks.
“Overall, our serving was great,” said Falcons coach Deb Hasler. “We had 18 aces in the Kiel match.”
