Local golfers come up aces

Jan Hovey of Plymouth and Eric Klemme, Elkhart Lake, shot hole-in-ones at Crystal Lake’s Sir Lanserlot Golf Course recently.

Hovey aced the par-3, 90-yard 14th hole with a pitching wedge on Friday. Monday, Klemme shot his hole-in-one on the par-3, 210-yard fifth with a driver.

Mary Ambrose of Elkhart Lake carded an ace at the Quit Qui Oc Golf Club in Elkhart Aug. 19. Ambrose holed out on the par-3, 95-yard fourth with a 7-iron.
