Another brick in the walk

Scouts from Troop 874 recently laid bricks near the entrance to Riverview Middle School in Plymouth. The area kept getting trampled as students cut the corner, said Principal Chris Scudella.

Michael Loehrke, now a freshman at Plymouth High School, took on the works as his Eagle Scout project. Helping him were fellow Scouts Chaz Halderson, Colin Roth, Peter Roth, Dalton Hilbert, Ben Bachmann, Ethan Kaat, Brandyn Nyholm, Steven Blackshear, Nathan Bachmann and James Seibert.

The Scouts were assisted by adults Jeff Bachmann, Tim Roth, Marie Loehrke, John Loehrke, Scott Siebert Bart Halderson and Nathan Loehrke. Ace Supply and Rental donated the use of a plate compactor.
