Kids have their say at Farmer Bud

If it’s true that kids sayd the darndest things, then kids and cows make for an even darnder (if there such a word) combination.

Kids age 4-9 had their moment to shine Saturday afternoon at the Sheboygan County Fair during the Farmer Bud Showmanship event.

The youngsters showed off their prize animals, got a few early lessons in showing animals, and answered questions from Fairest of the Fair Breanna Wimmler that produced some smile-inducing banter. For example:
Wimmler: Why did you name your cow ‘Motley?’
Jared Abraham (7): ‘Cause he’s wild.
Wimmler: Why did you name your cow ‘Licker?’
Brian Buckman (7): ‘Cause she licks a lot.
Wimmler: That’s right, she’s licking me.
Wimmler: What does your cow like to eat?
Lucas Stuckmann (8): Haylage.
Wimmler: Do you like to eat haylage?
Stuckmann: NO!
Wimmler: What do you like about your cow?
Kyle Jens (6): That she’s red and white.
