SARA B. KILCRECE

Sara B. Kilcrece, age 85, formerly of Adell, passed away Monday, Sept. 6, 2010, at St. Nicholas Hospital in Sheboygan, following a brief battle with cancer.

She was born July 4, 1925 in Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Stephen and Sara (Knarr) Bodish.

On Dec. 9, 1943, she married John Kilcrece in Morgantown, Pa. Following the war, they made their home in Denver, Colo., before moving to Eagle Springs Lake, Wis.

In 1963 they moved to Sheboygan, Black River and then moved to the town of Sherman. Her husband preceded her in death March 31, 2001.

Sara will be remembered for her devotion and love of her family and for her keen sense of humor.

Survivors include two sons, John (Jean) Kilcrece of Peru, Ind., and Robert (Laurie) Kilcrece of Sheboygan and one daughter, Patricia (Dennis) Schloerke of Palmyra, Wis.; five grandchildren, John (Karen) Kilcrece, Sara (Michael) Cannon, Katherine (Matthew) Copeland, Dawn (Rick) Maier and Chad (Miquel) Schloerke; 15 great-grandchildren, Ashley (Brian) Abbott, Marilyn, Patricia, Martha and Johnnie Kilcrece, Rebbeca, Sara and Emily Cannon, Stephen Shaffer and Joseph, Stephanie and Jaden Copeland, Jacob and Nicholas Maier and Evan Schloerke; one brother, Eugene Bodish of Florida and one sister, Elizabeth.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at the Schneider Funeral Home (formerly Wittkopp-Schneider) in Plymouth. The Very Rev. Dennis Van Beek will officiate. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in the town of Sherman.

Friends may call at the Schneider Funeral Home from 10 a.m. Thursday until the time of service. A memorial fund will be established in Sara’s name for the Adell First Responders. Online condolences may be sent to www.schneiderlifetributes.com.
