Plymouth Panthers breeze over Kewaunee
KEWAUNEE – Despite inclement weather, the Plymouth Panthers looked sharp as they breezed to a 7-0 dual win over Kewaunee here Tuesday afternoon.
PHS raised its Eastern Wisconsin Conference girls tennis record to 4-0 (8-5 overall). The Panthers won every match in straight sets and lost only four games.
“In one of the worst days that I have ever seen for playing tennis, the Plymouth girls team performed exceedingly well,” said PHS head coach Tom Pederson.
“Playing in cold, windy and drizzling weather, the girls lost only four games in seven matches.
“Beth Brisson, a freshman, filled in for the ailing Emily Schirmer and played very well. Beth showed none of the usual freshman jitters as she won without losing a game,” Pederson said.
