Charles Raymond “Charlie” Wifler, age 55, of Burnsville, Minn., died of cancer Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, and entered eternal life.

He was born Jan. 27, 1955 in Plymouth, the son of the late Dr. Wallace Wifler and Jean Wifler Steiner of Plymouth.

Charlie attended St. John the Baptist grade school and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1973. He graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stout in 1979.

Charlie married Vickie Payne on Nov. 22, 1980 in Minnesota.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Brad, Mike (Laura) and Kyle; his mother, Jean Steiner; three brothers, Bill (Kathia) Wifler of Germany, Pete (Cathy) Wifler of Hawthorne Woods, Ill., and Tim (Chris) Wifler of Crete, Ill.; and his sisters, Cathy (David) Marsh of Plymouth, Wis., and Betsy (Bruce) Studer of Germantown, Wis. He is further survived by his in-laws Darrell and Bonnie Payne, three brothers-in-law and their families, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, stepfamily, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Kathryn Wifler and Percival and Lucille Porth; his father, Wallace; and his stepfather, Brownie (Claude) Steiner.

A Mass for Charlie will be said at 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, at St. John the Baptist Church in Plymouth.

Funeral arrangements have been made through the White Funeral Home, 14560 Pennock Ave., Apple Valley, MN 55124 (952- 432-2001).

Visitation was held at the funeral home Wednesday, Oct. 27, from 4-8 p.m. and also will be held one hour prior to service at church. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, at Hosanna! Church, 9600 163rd St. W., Lakeville, Minn. Interment will take place in Lebanon Cemetery.
