EL-G HS celebrates students’ achievements

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School held a student recognition ceremony Jan. 20 where students from various activities were recognized and congratulated in front of the student body and faculty. The ceremony was for honors or achievements that occurred during the second quarter of the school year.

The following groups or individuals were recognized:

UW Creative Writing participants, CLC Honors Band members, Play members, Kohl Initiative Scholarship winner Dakota Carlson, Kohl Excellence nominee at the CESA level Rachael Lallensack, Winter Concert participants, Serv. Safe Certificate EJ Schoenborn, FCCLA, Poetry Out Loud participants, State Honors Band participants Jenna Mehre and Andrea McLaughlin, 100 Wins Wrestling member Kyle Rentmeester, and Students of the Quarter.

The Students of the Quarter were:

Jordan Shaw - vocal music, Krista Landwehr - mathematics, Luke Klover - foreign language, Anna Ringenbach - art, Brock Bonebrake - business education, Hunter Schoenborn - English, Sierra Tauschek - Family and Consumer education, Ashley Thomas - technical education, Meghan Clemens - science, Eliot Van Oss - social studies, Lauren Carew - agriculture, and Autumn Mertes - physical education.

A raffle for musical tickets to the Blue Man Group in Milwaukee and gas cards to get there and back was held at the ceremony. Students were eligible for the raffle based on limited behavioral referrals and attendance standards. The lucky winner of the tickets was Cora Gross.
