TYA `Peter Rabbit & Me’ audition registrations in progress

Theater For Young Audiences announces auditions by appointment for “Peter Rabbit and Me” from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Sheboygan Masonic Mansion, 411 St. Clair Ave.

In this rendition based on the charming tales by Beatrix Potter, nine youngsters in grades three through eight are needed to play Peter Rabbit, Flopsy, Mopsy, Cottontail, Mrs. Rabbit, Mr. or Mrs. Mouse, Red Bird One, Red Bird Two, and Mr. or Mrs. MacGregor. Peter Rabbit, Cottontail and the Red Birds may be played by either boys or girls.

Rehearsals will be held Monday through Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at the Sheboygan Masonic Mansion beginning Feb. 13. Parental participation of three to six hours weekly is required of those whose children are cast in the play. All youth must reside in or attend school in Sheboygan County or the Kiel school district.

Performances will be given Friday, March 16, at 6:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 17, at 2 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m. at the Sheboygan Masonic Mansion.

Scripts are available for in-house review only at Mead and Plymouth libraries.
