ERWIN B. LUECK

Erwin B. (Louie) Lueck, age 73, of 808 Fairview Drive, Plymouth, passed away peacefully at his home, Wednesday evening, June 8, 2011, following a lengthy struggle with cancer.

He was born Dec., 6, 1937, in the town of Scott, a son of the late Emerich and Lillian Lueck.

He attended the Independence School in the town of Scott and graduated from Waldo Tech High School in 1955.

On June 25, 1960, he married Eileen Matthies at Immanuel Lutheran Church in the town of Scott.

Louie was employed as a police officer in Sheboygan for 13 years and then operated Louie’s Bait and Sport Shop and Gas Station, on State 57 near Plymouth. He was then employed as a custodian at Parkview Grade School in Plymouth until retiring.

He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. He also served as a member of the Sheboygan Benevolent Association and served on the Board for the town of Plymouth.

Louie served in the U.S. Army reserve for a number of years.

Louie loved the out-of-doors, hunting, fishing, bowling, playing sheepshead and golfing, playing on the Crystal Lake Gold League for many years.

Louie was a man of integrity, who put his family first, loving and supporting them and also giving to his friends and community whenever possible.

Survivors include his wife, Eileen; two sons, Tim (Gena) of Cascade and Todd (Renee) of Beechwood; two daughters, Penny Lueck (Bob Stark) of Random Lake and Pam Madden (special friend, Jamie Lloyd) of Sheboygan Falls; three grandchildren, Lesa and Alex Lueck and Tony Stark; one brother, Ivan Lueck of Sheboygan; one sister in-law, Betty Lueck of Plymouth; and other loving relatives and friends.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Ted.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held Sunday, June 12, at St. John Lutheran Church in Plymouth. The Rev. Nathan Meador and the Rev. Thomas Fleischmann officiated.

A memorial fund has been established in Louie’s name.
