Addicted Industries looks to make a good impression

Digital printing added to list of services
by Jeff Pederson

Addicted Industries in Sheboygan Falls has come quite a long way in a rather short time. Since opening on Jan. 11, 2010, the salon-massage-tanning parlor has flourished under the direction of owner-operator Mandi Fenner. After recently marking 20 months in business, Fenner is poised to expand with new products, services and staff members. The newest addition to Addicted Industries' list of services, is digital printing. The state-of-the-art printer can print photos, graphics and wording on clothing, glass, mirrors, metal, wood, tile and canvass. “The digital printer is really cool,” Fenner said. “It is the newest and I think best way to do this kind of printing. “It doesn't use a screen, so we will not be charging a set-up fee, like most screen printing places do,” she said. “It actually prints directly onto garments, so it actually becomes part of the fabric.” Fenner says the digital process lends itself to an extremely fast turnaround time. “We can print a shirt in 60 seconds,” she said. “It is a very quick process and because of that, it is very customer-friendly.” Although it arrived just last week, Fenner already has printing requests lined up. “This is something people have been asking for,” she said. “People would see some of the artwork and graphics that we have in the store and they would often wonder if we could print things for them. Now we can. “My hope is that we can develop this over time into a successful printing operation.” In addition, Fenner is offering several other new items and services, including body jewelry. Beginning this week, Addicted Industries will be featuring a line of earrings, gauges, eye brow rings and nose rings. While the body jewelry will be for sale only, customers will be directed to Full Throttle Ink in Sheboygan Falls for the application of piercings. Other new products include: • Shellac UV nail polish – A popular, high quality polish that provides a shiny appearance and a fast drying time. “It has a mirror finish and almost a zero dry time,” Fenner said. “It looks and feels different than regular nail polish. It keeps nails strong and lasts for two weeks.” • Skinny wraps – A botanically based body-contouring treatment that minimize the appearance of cellulite and skin slackening, and gives the impression of a slimmer look. • Candles – A new line of GreenWick candles made by Shannon Meyer. • Market America – A new line of nutritional products, cosmetics and household items. • Fantasy hair extensions – Featuring 81 colors. “The hair extensions are very popular,” Fenner said. “We've done a lot of them as fundraisers for breast cancer awareness and school events.” • Designs by Dieter – A wide range of metal art. • Custom vinyl – Custom paintings and personalized vehicle art from Dayton Bender and Troy Schmitt. • Jwoww and Ed Hardy products – A custom line of tanning lotions and body products inspired by the “Jersey Shore” television show. Three new hair stylists have joined Addicted Industries – Amanda Fritsch, Theresa Harbaugh and Andrea Ross. Fritsch is offering 15 percent off all services for first-time customers. Ross currently has a foil sale on all highlights and lowlights. In addition, all girls who get an up-do or boys that get a haircut for Homecoming or Prom will receive a free week of unlimited tanning.

Addicted Industries is also offering bridal and baby registries. “We encourage everyone who is planning to get married or having a baby to come in an fill out a wish list with us,” Fenner said. “This way, instead of giving a gift certificate, people can give gifts that are more customized.”

Addicted Industries is also partnering with the Osthelder Saloon in Sheboygan Falls to offer a martinis and manicure special every Thursday evening, from 6-9 p.m. With an eye toward expansion, Fenner is presently looking for additional massage therapists, nail technicians and estheticians. “Expansion is definitely in the works,” Fenner said. “I have some big plans and I am hoping things will come together soon to take this business to the next level.” Addicted Industries is located at 334 Broadway St. in Sheboygan Falls.
