Mill Pond

To the Editor:

The recent December article and November, December “Perspectives” in the Plymouth Review in reference to the Mill Pond and movement to establish an association are greatly appreciated.

A steering committees is being established to work on by-laws to be approved by future members and to file papers of incorporation with the state of Wisconsin. The by-laws will contain necessary information that will make us a qualified lake association in the eyes of the DNR, allowing for future grant requests.

The initial start-up will take some time, but it is the intention of this group to open the membership to anyone who wants to preserve and protect the Plymouth Mill Pond and its surrounding area and to enhance the aquatic quality, recreational use and its aesthetic value as a public recreational facility for today and for future generations.

When that time comes, we will make a major effort to recruit as many members as possible and we are hoping for major support from the community.

Bill Barbieur, chairman
Mill Pond ad-hoc committee
