Riffel served on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Chiefs Association for three years and was elected to the office of third vice president three years ago.

He ascended through the vice president chairs to the presidency where he will lead the association for the year 2012- 2013.

The Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association serves over 600 police chiefs and command staff from throughout the state of Wisconsin.

The association provides leadership training, legal updates, legislative support, and professional networking opportunities for its members.

Riffel has over 25 years of law enforcement experience and has served as public safety director for the city of Sheboygan Falls for the past 15 years.

“Chief Riffel served the association well while on the board of directors and in his roles as vice president,” Executive Director of the Wisconsin Chiefs of Police Association Don Thaves said. “He is well respected by his law enforcement peers and we look forward to working with him during his term as president.”
